1. 1/4" x 1/16" butyl glazing tape is required for the fixed window sections of Hehr Clearview 10 and Hallmark 12 windows. 3/8" x 1/16" is required for Hehr 1100, 1600, 2400, 2700, 3500, 3600, 4200, and 4900 series fixed windows.
2. The Hallmark 17 series fixed windows originally required 5/16" x 1/16" glazing tape. 5/16" glazing tape is not produced anymore so 3/8" x 1/16" glazing tape must be used. Please follow these instructions for applying 3/8" glazing tape to the Hehr Hallmark 17 window:
Lay the 3/8" glazing tape into the glazing ledge. Take your time as the butyl glazing tape is very sticky. The glazing tape will slightly overlay the edge of the glazing tape channel. Using an x-acto knife or razor blade, trim the glazing tape along the inside edge of the glazing tape ledge. Set the glass in place on top of the glazing tape. Insert the glazing, 0114ZA, around the edge of the glass.
3. This Tremco Glazing tape is 100% solid Polyisobutylene cross-linked butyl, preformed sealant; i.e., it is very sticky, is not effected by UV light through the glass, and will remain flexible at low temperatures.
